DISCOVERY PRESCHOOL & DAYCARE — TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions form a legally binding agreement between parents/guardians and Discovery Preschool & Daycare (“Discovery Daycare and Learning Hub”). By enrolling your child, you agree to comply fully with the following rules, policies, and legal conditions. Violation of any clause may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
1. Punctuality and Timings
Drop-off and pick-up times must be strictly adhered to.
Late pick-ups after 5:30 PM will incur a penalty of Rs. 500 following a 10-minute grace period. An additional Rs. 500 will be charged for every subsequent 30-minute interval past the initial grace period.
Repeated lateness may result in permanent dismissal.
2. Attendance
Consistent attendance is vital for child development.
Parents must notify Discovery of absences in advance.
A child absent for more than 6 continuous months will have their admission automatically cancelled without refund. Re-enrollment will require full registration fee payment.
3. Health and Hygiene
Children must arrive clean, well-groomed, and appropriately dressed.
Handwashing is mandatory before meals and after toilet use.
Sick children must stay home until medically cleared. Discovery reserves the right to deny entry to unwell children to protect others.
4. Safety & Security
No dangerous, sharp, or prohibited objects are allowed on the premises.
Children must remain under staff supervision at all times.
Only authorized individuals (listed in writing by the parent/guardian) may collect children. Identification will be required.
5. Medical Emergencies
In case of injury or a health emergency, Discovery will immediately notify parents and seek professional medical help.
Parents are responsible for all emergency medical costs incurred.
6. Behavioral Expectations
Respectful behavior is mandatory towards staff and peers.
Zero-Tolerance Policy for:

Physical aggression (hitting, biting, pushing)

Bullying, harassment, or verbal abuse

Disrespect or misconduct toward any staff member
Parents will be given up to 1 written warning. Discovery reserves the right to immediately terminate enrollment based on the severity of the behavior.
7. Damage & Liability
Parents/guardians are financially liable for any property damage caused by their child. Damages will be invoiced along with monthly dues.
Discovery is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
8. Meals & Snacks
Parents must provide healthy, balanced meals.
The following items are strictly prohibited: junk food, soda, candy, gum, etc.
9. Dress Code
Daycare children must wear comfortable, season-appropriate clothing.
Preschoolers must wear Discovery-branded t-shirts at all times, available for purchase from the office.
10. Rest Time
A designated nap/rest period will be observed. Parents may provide a labeled blanket or comfort item if required.
11. Screen Time Policy
Screen time, if any, will be limited to educational content and strictly supervised.
12. Payments & Fees
Monthly tuition and any other applicable charges must be paid by the 5th of every month.
Late payment will incur a Rs. 500 late fee starting from the 6th of each month.
Non-payment of one full month’s fees will result in automatic cancellation of admission. Re-enrollment will require full settlement of outstanding dues plus registration fees.
13. Fee Structure Adjustments
Discovery reserves the right to revise tuition or charges at any time due to inflation, currency fluctuation, or national uncertainty.
14. Annual & Non-Refundable Charges
An annual fee of Rs. 8000 is payable at the start of the academic year (August/September).
All fees — registration, tuition, annual, or otherwise — are strictly non-refundable.
15. Preschool Fee Advance Policy
June fees for preschoolers are payable in March.
July fees are payable in April.
16. Parental Access & Communication
Parents are not permitted inside the premises without prior appointment. This is for child safety and operational control.
All meetings must be pre-scheduled; walk-ins are strictly prohibited.
Communication with administration is encouraged via phone, email, or scheduled appointments only.
17. Parental Involvement
Participation in parent-teacher meetings is encouraged to support child development and communication.
18. Training and Staff Qualifications
All staff members undergo regular training in child care, health, and safety. Professional conduct is expected from both staff and parents.
19. Emergency & Evacuation Procedures
Discovery conducts regular fire and safety drills. Staff are trained to manage emergencies, and parents will be informed promptly when such events occur.
20. Acknowledgement & Final Agreement
By signing the Discovery Registration Form, the parent(s)/guardian(s) acknowledge and agree to all Terms & Conditions listed herein and those publicly available on our official website: www.discovery-daycare.com

Completion of the registration form does not guarantee admission. The final decision rests solely with Discovery management and is non-negotiable.

All fees must be paid by the 1st of each month, regardless of the child’s admission date. A late fee will be charged if payment is made after the 5th of each month.

Pickup times are fixed and may only be changed through a formal written request and approval from the administration.

No parent or caregiver will be allowed inside the premises during pick-up hours unless a prior appointment has been scheduled and approved. Children will be handed over only at the designated pickup area.

Violence, abusive language, threats, or any form of disrespectful behavior toward staff or other children will result in:

Immediate termination of your child’s admission, without refund or prior notice

Strict legal action, including reporting to relevant authorities

Discovery reserves the right to refuse entry or send home any child showing symptoms of illness, including but not limited to: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious infections, or signs of communicable disease. This is in accordance with our internal policy on Managing Children Who Are Sick, Infectious, or with Allergies.

All legal concerns must first be communicated in writing or via email directly to Discovery’s administration. Legal notices issued by a lawyer or law firm without prior communication may result in Discovery pursuing legal action for harassment or reputational harm, including a formal complaint to the relevant bar council or licensing authority.
Legal Disclaimer
Discovery is not liable for any personal injury or illness incurred outside the scope of reasonable supervision or for circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, or governmental mandates).
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change without prior notice. Updates will be communicated through official channels and will be deemed accepted by continued enrollment.
